Deploy without downtime

Each Magento project is specific, so should be your deployment and your runtime.

To facilitate Magento deployment, we use an automated pipeline with a blue-green deployment process.

This protects your website from downtime when you push new pieces of code to production. If the deployment fails for some reason, your website stays online while you fix the problem without stressing over losing revenue.

Deployment to the cloud takes just a few minutes and the platform allows you to watch the process in real time, from new instances spinning to getting online.
As each Magento project is specific, we also provide hooks to interact and customize deployment behavior at each step of the process.

More about Magento Cloud Hosting
  • How does Artifakt deploy my Magento website?

The recommended pipeline is composed of three systems:

    On the development system:

    • update Magento configuration to fit your needs
    • write the configuration to a file
    • check the modified files into the repository

    On the build system:

    • fetch the configuration changes from the repository
    • compile the code
    • deploy the static view files
    • check the compiled and static view files into the repository

    On the production system:

    • enable maintenance mode
    • get code changes from the repository
    • stop queue workers (available for the Enterprise plan)
    • update/import the new configuration
    • set sensitive values
    • end maintenance mode

Make sure to deploy Magento on a secondary server and redirect the traffic to this secondary node. With Artifakt, this long process is automated using a blue-green deployment process—while your production is on the "green" server, we prepare the "blue" for production. When it is ready, we switch seamlessly the traffic to "blue", which then becomes your new “green” (production).

If the deployment fails, your website stays online and you stay stress free!

If you need to test your deployment before going live, create a new environment separate from your main production.

  • How does Artifakt keep my Magento website safe?

Keeping Magento properly updated is crucial. You can update to the latest Magento version in a few clicks. If you’re unable to upgrade, we provide a Web Application Firewall that block most common attacks. All our clients are protected by the same set of rules, no matter the size of the web application and our infrastructure is regularly audited to identify any possible improvements.

  • How does Artifakt maintain the performance of my Magento website?

When using Magento, make sure to monitor disk and CPU performance closely.

In big Magento websites, recourse consumption is not always linear and it is possible to encounter limits for a single instance, which has potential impact on your client's experience.

At Artifakt, we selected the best technologies available, as well as disks that match Magento requirements to allow the best performance possible.

We offer a CDN to host the static contents (product photos, JavaScript, CSS files, etc.) Your customers fetch this content from the lowest latency location. Your website remains fast, even at the other side of the world!

Scale up and down your servers as needed with the automated scaling solution offered in our Enterprise plan.

All logs are available on your dashboard, allowing you to track down performance issues easily.

  • Which Magento requirements does Artifakt set up?

Artifakt, follows the requirements for each version, optimizes, and pre-configure all Magento requirements for a deployment process. Our service is often described by our customers as "the fastest service to host a Magento website".

We offer you an interface that allows you to effortlessly customize your e-commerce online shop and the configuration parameters. This includes:

    • Operating System: a Linux host is mandatory
    • minimum 2 GB memory
